Eyelash Perm and Tint

If you’re wondering what an eyelash perm is then we can happily answer that for you right away. The same way that you see a perm turns straight hair into curly hair is the same way the perm turns your straight lashes into curled back lashes. A lash perm is semi-permanent that curls your lashes in an upwards direction. This treatments effect can last from 1-3 months depending on your natural lash life cycle. This treatment will not add more lash hairs to your natural lashes or add length, it will simply bring out and curl back your natural lashes making it look like you’re wearing mascara.

The Procedure

You can choose the curl type that you are going for before the perm treatment. This all depends on if you’re looking for a more dramatic curl or a more natural curl. There will be tape or cotton on your under eye so that the tint doesn’t color your actual skin during the tint. The tint will then be applied and will stay on for about 10-15 minutes before removing it. We Will then make sure that all the tint is off and clean your skin around the areas. We can tint both the bottom lashes and the top lashes so that both your lashes are looking bold.

Avoiding Moisture

We advise clients to avoid any moisture after the treatment for a few hours as this could affect the results of your new perm or tint. You will need a professional to do this job for you and let you in on all the do’s and don’ts so that your lashes won’t get damaged. We want our clients to try and avoid rubbing their eyes after both of these treatments as we don’t want you to irritate your eyes.

The Right Candidate

There is no right candidate for this treatment as it’s a natural way to get your lashes looking and felling more dramatic. If you are someone who doesn’t want to apply mascara on every morning and wash it off every evening before going to bed then this is the treatment for you. Our lash technicians will discuss your lash goals with you before going ahead with the perm and tint. We look at the color of your eyes, the shape of your eyes and face and the color of your hair before making a decision. If there is a color you just desire to have then we can go ahead with that.

Eyelash Perm vs Eyelash Extension

First of the easiest difference between these two treatment id the price. The price of the eyelash perm is much lower than the price of the eyelash extensions. An eyelash extensions treatment adds artificial hairs to your natural lashes which is why it’s a more expensive treatment. An eyelash perm will take a much shorter amount of time as the procedure involves only using your natural lashes. An eyelash extension will take much more time depending on how many lash hairs you are wanting to add. An eyelash extension treatment will give your eye a much more dramatic and bolder look than a lash perm will.
